Biography and Background

I am a native of Boise, growing up in the foothills. I attended Boise High and Boise State University. I just completed 38 years in the Navy where I served as a fighter pilot, completing three combat tours including Desert Storm, Southern Watch and Iraqi Freedom. I had the honor to be a Commanding Officer of a F/A-18 Hornet squadron and the Deputy Air Wing Commander of an air wing of seven squadrons. During my airwing tour, the air wing participated in drug interdiction missions in the Caribbean and combat support for anti-IED missions in Iraq.
During this time I completed numerous service schools and also completed a Masters in International Relations.
I will return to United Airlines as a 787 pilot after my Navy retirement.
Ted Hill has been endorsed by the Professional Fire Fighters Association, Fraternal Order of Police, and Idaho Chooses Life.

Issue 1

Support and defend our Constitution. This is one of the most critical battles of our age. Our freedoms are under assault every day and everywhere we look. It will take exceedingly strong leadership and a vigorous, determined fighter, ready to meet the challenges and unwilling to compromise on the fundamental rights and liberties defined in our Constitution. My sacred oath is to support and defend the Constitution and sustain the Republic and all that makes America great.

Issue 2

We must strive to sustain and enable States rights. We must counter Federal overreach, including mandates and movement of illegal immigrants into our state without due process.

Issue 3

2nd Amendment – As a combat veteran who has been on foreign soil and seen the affects of citizens who live under tyranny, I understand the essential freedom that is provided by the the 2nd Amendment. When freedom is under assault, the first thing at risk is the ability to defend yourself. All tyranny is enabled by those who are helpless and unable to defend themselves. As Americans, our right to bear arms is that essential freedom that guarantees the rest. I stand firm to maintain all rights to bear arms.
