Biography and Background

Mike Moyle was born in Rexburg Idaho. He worked as a hunting guide before attending Brigham Young University. His father was in an accident which caused Mike to return home to help run the family farm. He helped ensure that his siblings had the opportunity to attend college. He brought the family farm into the 21 century and continues to farm today. Mike is married to Janet and they have a blended family of five children and eight grandchildren. He has always been passionate about his community. Moyle served as a volunteer fireman and as a fire commissioner for Star Idaho. He also served as a precinct committeeman and on the Far West Spearmint Board and is currently serving on the Middleton Irrigation District Board. He is running on the platform of tax reform and has been a huge advocate of lowering taxes with more tax cut bills passed than any other legislator in Idaho. He is known for his inspiring debate and a get-it-done attitude. Family is number one for Mike which is why he works so hard to keep Idaho the best state in the nation.

Top 3 Issues

Issue 1

Tax Reform – I have always been committed to reducing taxes in Idaho. It is the sole reason I ran for office. The 2022 session saw the largest income tax reduction in Idaho history, reductions in property taxes and we gave the local governments the ability to reduce property taxes even more. I helped write and I carried these bills. I am still committed to further reductions in the tax burden of Idahoans.

Issue 2

State Sovereignty – With the increasing push from the federal government to control issues within Idaho, I will uphold and stand by the Constitution and pledge to protect our individual and state sovereignty.

Issue 3

Education – My children attended and my grandchildren are attending public schools in Idaho. I understand the importance of education in our state. I am committed to ensuring appropriate curriculums and that money allocated to education is spent wisely. I will continue to support school choice and higher pay for our excellent teachers.
