Biography and Background
Linda Wright Hartgen, Idaho native and lived in Twin Falls County my entire life. Widow, and mother of blended family of 5, with 6 granddaughters and 2 greats.
Graduated from Filer Hight School 1967
Graduated from Lewis Clark State College 1991.
Fellow of the Institute of Court Management – William and Mary College, VA.
Served as Twin Falls County Clerk of the Court
Trial Court Administrator for the Fifth Judicial District 23 years
Served 2 terms in the Idaho House of Representatives, and 1 term in the Senate. Chairwoman of Agriculture Affairs. Also sit on Commerce and Human Resource Committee and Judiciary and Rules Committee.
Woman of Faith and have held many jobs in my local church.
Served 8 years on College of Southern Idaho Foundation.

Except for the provisions specifically noted below, I support the Idaho Republican Party Platform and accept it as the standard by which my performance as a candidate and as an officeholder should be evaluated. I certify that I am not a candidate, officer, delegate or position holder in any party other than the Republican Party.”

Sec. 4 A – Gold Standard, it isn’t reasonable.

Art. X We currently do jointly manage some grown with the Good Neighbor Act. It would be impossible to take on all of our federal lands.
Art XIV I hate abortion and have always been against it, but we need to protect the mothers as well. We need to keep the exceptions in that were there in 1973 before Roe v Wade.
The preamble says it all and I know we all live by that.
It is my hope that the platform is not used to suppress ideas and opinions. There is room in our party for conservatives who may disagree with interpretations and some of our Republican Party Platform. We must work collectively and cooperatively to further Idaho’s GOP and work tirelessly to bring up the next generation of good solid Republicans. I am proud to represent my constituents in Southern Idaho.
