Biography and Background

I became a Conservative after 9/11. I realized for the first time just how precious, rare, & vulnerable the liberty I had always known actually is. A few months after, I trusted Jesus Christ to save me from my sin. I have been walking with the Lord ever since, & certain that authentic Conservatism & true Christianity will always be inextricable perspectives. I spent the next 20 years advancing Conservatism.

In 2021, my wife and I began making serious plans to exit Washington. We had both lived there for decades, we came to the realization that the state had become hostile & dangerous toward Republicans. We settled in American Falls, after falling in love with the small town. Our two young-adult daughters chose to stay in Washinton, but we hope they’ll follow us, along with our two grandchildren to Idaho soon. I am a proud Idahoan, & even went so far as to change my phone number the day we moved into our house, just to wash as much of Washington off of me as humanly possible.

I am active in my church & once the opportunity rose for me to become active in politics, I took it. I was voted in as the Vice Chairman of the Power County GOP Central Commitee. I then began to observe how my district’s Reps were consistently voting, I immediately recognized them as belonging to a certain category of politicians: the RINO Class & new they needed to be replaced, hence why I am running.

I’m pro-Constitution. That means you can count on me to protect your freedoms; your right to worship freely, to speak your mind, to assemble. Mask & vaccine mandates are Orwellian tyranny & are TOTALLY un-American. I will protect our children from DEI & damaging material. I’m pro-school choice, will be a Parental Rights advocate, & protect your 2nd Amendment rights.

I will not vote for the continuous spending increases on behalf of corporate interests driving your taxes up. I will vote to reduce/eliminate taxes wherever possible, including property, income & the grocery tax. I will not vote to increase the power and growth of government, state or federal.

Top 3 Issues

Issue 1

Cut Spending, Cut Taxes Politicians who spend taxpayer money in ways they would never spend their own money are irresponsible & unethical. Putting an end to wasteful spending is a MUST! Cutting your taxes & allowing you to keep your hard-earned money is crucial. If you keep Cheatum in office, based on his previous voting record, your taxes will not go down, they will go up. When elected, I will make it my top priority to cut taxes & cut spending. We have seen it done in other counties, so we know it is possible. The government already has enough tax dollars to cover its constitutional obligations. The money is there, we just need to make sure it is allocated correctly, by faithful stewards, & that we are not funding programs/organizations that are not the government’s responsibility. “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.” Margaret Thatcher

Issue 2

Education Excellence Idaho’s children deserve a genuine education that will prepare them for the world. We must go back to the basics when educating our children. When our students graduate, they should be citizens who love their county, have an honest knowledge of the true history of the Unites States of America, & a deep understanding of the U.S. Constitution & their own God-given rights. We need to start holding our schools accountable, making sure they are teaching curriculum that has nothing to do with CRT & DEI. Sex-education should be an opt-in class, not an opt-out class. Test scores should always be at passing levels. If public schools cannot meet basic standards: reading, writing, arithmetic, civics, & history – then parents absolutely have the right, privilege, & responsibility to utilize their school choice. Issue 3

Election Integrity I will never vote for Rank Choice Voting. ONE PERSON, ONE VOTE! The right to vote in a free & fair election is the most basic civil right, one on which all other rights of Idahoans depend. Ensuring fair & honest elections is a priority of mine. When I am elected, I will make sure your voice and vote is heard and counted. RCV poses several difficulties. RCV is unnecessarily complicated & lacks real transparency. In areas that have successfully adopted RCV, voters have consistently reported the process to be confusing & instructions cumbersome. Completing an RCV ballot is difficult, tabulation errors are far more regular, & there is no easy way verify that the votes were input accurately. RCV creates ballot exhaustion, disenfranchising voters who may not correctly complete the ballot, resulting in its disqualification. In areas where RCV is in effect, voter-turnout has been shown to decrease.
