Biography and Background

Freedom and Liberty are important. Keeping America free is crucial. We are in a battle for our country. The realization that if we give away our rights, we will never get them back encouraged Jackie Davidson to run for Idaho Legislature District 16-B. She is passionate about keeping freedom and rights for every Idahoan.

Jackie has lived in Boise, Idaho for 44 years and has seen the city grow from a small town conservative community to a thriving city. Her passion is to keep Idaho conservative and free. Jackie has been a small business owner with her hand on the pulse of Boise and Idaho. This has given her an insight to the freedoms that are being taken away by the more liberal politicians. As she sees the destruction and mayhem that has enveloped the country, it is Jackie’s drive to keep the chaos out of Idaho.

Jackie will work for less government, lower taxes, family values and personal liberty.

Top 3 Issues

Issue 1

Our children. While the legislature has done some great work protecting our children, there is more to do. Idaho has raised the teacher’s salaries, but there is little accountability for test scores. I would like to see test scores above an F rating. One way to accomplish this is through School Choice. There are also still boys in the girls restrooms.

Issue 2

Election Integrity. There are some great things being done to secure our Idaho elections. While Idaho doesn’t seem to have an issue, we need to secure our elections further. One way to do that is to return Absentee ballots to “Absentee” ballots. Absentee ballots lose chain of custody very easily and are deemed one of the best ways to cheat. I would also like to see some voter roll legislation that ensures that the voter rolls are cleaner. Currently, the public has to challenge a voter registration and then the clerks still don’t have to do anything about it.

Issue 3

Federal funding. We are seeing too much federal money coming into Idaho. This money has strings attached. We currently are 40% funded by the federal government. This is outrageous!! If we are to be a sovereign state, we must not take federal money. Recently, Joe Biden signed a EO stating he will withhold federal money if states to conform to his gender identity Title X. We can start by legislating that the Idaho budget can take no more than 20% federal money. This will eliminate the government bloat that we see with Medicare expansion.
