Top 3 Issues
Issue 1
Idaho’s budget has swollen by 54% in the past few years. 42% has been funded by money from the federal government with all its strings attached. This kind of spending is not sustainable today. The money take from the federal government only adds to the unbelievable national debt. We have to start cutting back by cutting programs and some services that are not necessary for the taxpayer to be responsible for. The Launch program, social justice programs within Health and Welfare such as DEI, porn literacy, LGBTQ services would all be better served by private sector funding and not taxpayer funds.
Issue 2
Our borders have become overrun and the current administration refuses to do nothing. He blames Republicans for the problem when all the President needs to do is give Law Enforcement agencies permission to do their job. We have to stop making Idaho inviting to illegal aliens with free services such as healthcare.
These people are looked at as needed to milk cows, harvest crops and serve our food. This is slavery at best because most are paid a very minimal wage because they are undocumented. There are many that are here legally. But most are not and should be sent back where they came from.
Issue 3
Our current economy is suffering with high inflation rates. All of us are feeling the results with high increases in prices. Property tax relief is one issue to be tackled, however, not all residents are homeowners suffering from inflation. That’s why I believe we need to seriously look at and work toward repealing sales tax on food. This is a plan that will help ALL Idahoans and not just property owners.
