Biography and Background

As a husband, father, and grandfather Dennis Mansfield has supported and fought for family values his entire life. Dennis believes that life begins at conception, and has written and co-written key pro-life legislation to protect unborn babies in Idaho.Dennis strongly supports military, veterans, law enforcement, and their families because he knows the challenges that come with a life of service.

Dennis believes in protecting the 2nd Amendment rights of every Idahoan. He enjoys spending time on the range with his friends and family.

Dennis has owned and operated businesses his entire life. He currently works as an author and business coach, helping give Idaho business leaders tools for success. Dennis has written seven books, with an eighth planned to be published in 2022-23.

Dennis believes that every American should have the opportunity to succeed in business. He and his family support using local Garden City and Boise small businesses both personally and professionally.

Dennis and Susan have been married for 44 years. They have three adult children and five grandchildren.

Top 3 Issues

Issue 1

The top issue is two-fold. Improved economy and education environment for Idaho is vital. As a businessman and business coach, Dennis is an advocate for small and large businesses, so that all Idahoans can prosper. Providing a proper education for our kids to prosper, in the future, as they become adults is a key component to a strong Idaho. Dennis’s wife Susan is a public school teacher. He supports choice in education.

Issue 2

Dennis supports the Second Amendment and he supports law enforcement, He believes that our Founding Fathers clearly saw the vital (and always-timely) importance of responsible gun ownership when they framed the Bill of Rights.

Issue 3

Dennis supports life – from birth to the natural end of life. He believes that the Supreme Court will soon rule wisely on the “Dobbs” decision. He supports adoption.
