FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

August 8, 2022

Boise, ID — The Idaho Republican Party is pleased to welcome Dorothy Moon as its new Chairwoman. At the close of the Idaho Republican Party’s biennial convention in Twin Falls, Moon was elected by a wide margin to serve a two-year term as chair. She assumed the position immediately.

“It is an honor to be elected to serve as chair of our party. I promised the hardworking men and women of Idaho that I would work to give them a voice and return this party to its founding principles. The 2022 election offers exciting opportunities for our party, and I am looking forward to working with our candidates up and down the ballot to ensure our state remains a bulwark against the radical left and a safe haven for all who love liberty,” said Idaho Republican Party Chairwoman Dorothy Moon.

“Our campaign is ready to work together with a strong conservative ticket and the new IDGOP leadership team. The Bedke for Idaho campaign is proud to defend the Idaho Way and happy to take part in the 2022 Red Wave!” said Idaho Speaker of the House Scott Bedke, the Republican nominee for Idaho Lieutenant Governor.

“I have been an active member of the Republican Party all my adult life and could not be more excited about where our party is headed, especially under the leadership of my friend, Dorothy Moon. She will bring a fresh perspective and much-needed energy to the role, and will infuse our party with commonsense Idaho values,” said former Congressman Raúl Labrador, the Republican nominee for Idaho Attorney General.

“I congratulate Dorothy Moon on her new role as Chairwoman of the Republican Party. I take her for her word that she will work to unite the party and help those of us running in November to be successful. I have reached out to Chairwoman Moon and look forward to meeting and learning more about her vision for these efforts,” said Ada County Clerk Phil McGrane, the Republican Nominee for Idaho Secretary of State.

“I welcome the new team, including Chairwoman Moon, and I look forward to working with them to Keep Idaho Red this election cycle,” said Idaho State Treasurer Julie Ellsworth.

“As we head into the November General Election, I look forward to continue working with the GOP leadership across the state including our newly elected Chairwoman, Dorothy Moon, and our Republican candidates up and down the ticket. Building our party and engaging the citizens of Idaho will ensure our state continues to represent our conservative values,” said Idaho State Controller Brandon Woolf.
