
Biography and Background
Rep. John Vander Woude has been a small business owner and a farmer in Nampa for more than 40 years. Rep. Vander Woude is serving his 5th term in the State Legislature. He serves on the Health & Welfare Committee, Resources & Conservation Committee, and as Chair of the Environment, Energy, & Technology Committee.
A U.S. Army Veteran, Rep. Vander Woude is an active community and church member, including 16 years of service on the Nampa Christian School Board. Rep. Vander Woude has been married to his wife, Judy, for 47 years and they have three grown children and 12 grandchildren.
Rep. Vander Woude believes in local control, efficient government, and personal responsibility. He is committed to working on behalf of his constituents to lower your tax burden, stop government from competing against the private sector, and holding government agencies accountable.
